Floyd Mayweather not in the mood to fight Manny Pacquiao next – Boxing News
Unfortunately, boxing fans will again be disappointed to know that the super-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not on the cards yet, even though Pacquiao made his best efforts to make the fight happen.
Recently, it was announced by Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, that the unbeaten American will face Canelo Alvarez, Robert Guerrero or Miguel Cotto next. Schaefer did not speak about the possibility of a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather.
It should be noted here that Pacquiao already took a step forward to make the fight happen, by letting Mayweather take 55 percent of the entire pay per view proceedings. However, no news from Mayweather’s camp has been received yet, except that Mayweather
thinks Pacquiao is desperate to fight him.
According to Mayweather, Pacquiao lost to Timothy Bradley earlier this year, whether it was controversial or not. Mayweather believes Pacquiao is desperate to fight him in order to redeem his career that is already on a decline.
“Schaefer was still buzzing a bit from the solid Robert Guerrero showing Saturday night, as the Ghost took out Andre Berto in a Basilio-ish rumble. Schaefer said he has been talking with Team Mayweather about putting Guerrero in with Floyd, and the promoter
said we could know next week who and when Floyd will fight,” as it was reported by ESPN.com.
“Schaefer said "Floyd likes challenges" and will likely pick from among Guerrero, Canelo Alvarez and perhaps Cotto in a rematch for his next outing.”
For now, it seems like Mayweather will be moving on with a fight against Guerrero, as the welterweight contender has already challenged the WBC titlist for a fight. On the other hand, there are chances of Pacquiao facing Alvarez, after his fight against
Juan Manuel Marquez.
Pacquiao has already asserted that if the super-fight against Mayweather does not take place by the end of 2013, it will never take place. It seems like Pacquiao is already pissed off because he has complied to all conditions put forth by Mayweather yet
there is no positive response. Pacquiao wants to retire soon and so does Mayweather and they both  might not be facing each other, which would be a complete wreck for boxing fans.
