Floyd Mayweather responds to Victor Ortiz and Oscar De La Hoya – Boxing news
The five-division world champion and the current World Boxing Council World Welterweight Champion Floyd Mayweather has replied to Vicious Victor Ortiz and his promoter, Golden Boy President, Oscar De La Hoya, who wants Mayweather to give Ortiz a rematch.
The undefeated American legend Floyd ‘Pretty Boy’ Mayweather recently secured a controversial fourth round knockout over his compatriot Victor Ortiz in their much-anticipated bout at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ortiz initially head-butted Mayweather in the earlier stages of the fourth round for which he was docked a point. Later on when the fight was reset, Ortiz went on to hug Mayweather as an apology, but Mayweather responded him with two dazzling punches which
were enough to knock him out.
Therefore, De La Hoya wants Mayweather to offer Ortiz a rematch. Though the Golden Boy, De La Hoya, admitted it was Ortiz who fouled first, he said he was penalised for his act and due to Mayweather’s bad sportsmanship, a great fight was cut short.
Mayweather, who was leading Ortiz on all the scorecards, is absolutely not happy with De La Hoya and Ortiz. Therefore, he has finally replied to them.
Mayweather, who holds a record of winning all of his 42 professional fights, with 26 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, stated Ortiz does not want a rematch and he is only asking for it because of the money involved.
Mayweather wrote Victor as ‘Victoria’ and termed De La Hoya as ‘Golden Girl’ on his Twitter page.
“Does Victoria Ortiz want another rematch because he thinks he can win or does he want another payday? Victoria’s secret,” Mayweather Tweeted.
He added, “Victoria Ortiz’s idol is Oscar De La Hoya aka Golden Girl fishnet.”
