Floyd Mayweather says he wants to have a fight with Manny Pacquiao – Boxing news
The current World Boxing Council’s Emeritus World Super Welterweight Champion, Floyd Mayweather, has admitted he wants to fight the World Boxing Organisation’s Welterweight World Champion, Manny Pacquiao.
The Pretty Boy, Mayweather, has been accused a lot of ducking Pacquiao. People have been saying that he always finds an excuse to avoid the eight-division world champion, Pacquiao.
Mayweather however told the media he never ducks or fears anyone. He said he definitely wants to fight Pacquiao as he wants everyone to know he what he is made of.
While talking on his inclusion, he declared, “Do I want the Pacquiao fight? Absolutely, absolutely! I want to let the fans know this and anybody who is watching live. Floyd Mayweather don't duck or dodge anyone.”
Meanwhile Mayweather also commented on the Vicious, Victor Ortiz, who is going to step against him on September 17, 2011.
Mayweather, who has won all of his 41 fights including 25 by the way of a knockout, stated Ortiz is not an easy opponent like many people think. He added Ortiz is a world champion and has earned himself a bout with him.
“He's tough and he's earned the right. As of right now he is a world champion, and the ultimate goal is for me to go out there and face the world champion,” Mayweather said.
However, Mayweather upon returning to the business remarked he will surely considered Manny Pacquiao after he gets done with Victor Ortiz.
Mayweather has always had issues with Pacquiao on drug test. Moreover, the whole Mayweather clan accused Pacquiao for illegal substance use.
However Mayweather revealed if Pacquiao, who has won 53 of his 58 fights including 38 by the way of a knockout, is willing for the drug test, the fight will happen.
“After this fight, if I'm able to negotiate a Pacquiao fight, it could happen. Hopefully Pacquiao steps up to the plate and takes the test so we can fight. I'm waiting for the fight to happen,” said the five-division world champion Mayweather.
