Floyd Mayweather still waiting for Manny Pacquiao to sign a contract – Boxing news
The Pretty Boy, Floyd Mayweather, who is a five-division world champion and the current World Boxing Council World Welterweight Champion, has insisted he is still waiting for the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, to sign the contract.
The 34-year-old American undefeated legend, Mayweather, who holds a perfect record of winning all of his 42 professional fights, with 26 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, confirmed he wants a fight on May 5 and this time he wants to set up the
dream-fight with the Filipino star.
Mayweather told Fighthype.com, “I been told the boy May 5th is open. I told him May 5th is open...Now you know me, to all the FightHype fans and all the fans, May 5th is the date. Sign the contract! Sign the contract! I'm waiting. Now I can't be sitting
waiting all day, now. You want a fight, let's make it happen.”
Pacquiao and Mayweather always stayed away due to their dispute over Olympic-style blood testing but Pacquiao in the end agreed for the random blood testing. Therefore, Mayweather sees no reason why the contract should not be signed now.
“May 5th, let's make the fight. I'm here. I'm waiting. What's going on? You said you a clean athelete and you said you would take the tests and all that. Well let's do it,” stated Mayweather.
Pacquiao and Mayweather are the biggest draws in boxing and a clash between these two boxing’s best will certainly force a lot out there to flock into the arena because they stand next to each other in the pound-for-pound rankings and people want to see
who the best pound-for-pound among these two is.
Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, at present seems to be the only problem since he wants his man to fight the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez, for a fourth time after the two finished close in their highly anticipated trilogy bout at the MGM Grand Arena
in Las Vegas, Nevada.
However, let’s hope if Mayweather and Pacquiao sign a contract because their fight will definitely have all the hallmarks of being an absolute classic.
