Sugar Ray Robinson is clearly the greatest welterweight in the history of boxing in my opinion.  He was a great boxer and had excellent power too.  Mayweather is very fast and has decent power but it would not be enough against the greatest pound for pound fighter in history in my opinion.  Robinson would land the harder and cleaner punches and knock out Mayweather in 9 rounds.

Anybody with even the smallest amount of boxing knowledge would tell you that Sugar Ray Robinson would easily beat Mayweather.

Robinson would probably win becasue he can do more in the ring than any fighter. He would be able to out fight mayweather and he fought more times than floyd if they had the same amout of fights Ray wouldnt have half as much wear and tear as floyd they fought more rounds in his day and he was probably in better shape than most modern fighters ray fought until his 40's
