  1. Well he is undefeated and has 25 wins by KO and he has a bronze olympic medal but i personally don't really think like the style that he fights. I think his next fight is going to be a rematch with Oscar De La Hoya. Floyd Mayweather Sr. is going to train Oscar to fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. which makes no sense.

  2. he is supposily the pound 4 pound best boxer who retire. Howver if your the p4p you fight any boxer who has the creditails (cotto margarita) so there are no questions whos the best

  3. Interesting Q.  And it's a Q that may take more space than is alloted here on Yahoo Answers.

He is in no way this generation's version of Mike Tyson.  He's not a KO slugger, he's a scientific boxer.  He predominant "style" is defensive boxer.  There is something called "punch stat" in which there are punch totals, how many thrown versus how many landed in order to form a percentage.  He makes opponents miss a lot, while he lands a high percentage of his own shots.  The difference between his land percentage and his opponent's land percentage is the greatest of all time.

Floyd can stand in front of a slugger and make him miss badly.  Floyd can take a shot to the head and roll with it in a way to suffer no damage, all the while keeping his balance well enough to fire counterpunches without giving ground.  Boxing is a learned craft and skill, and the things Floyd can do in the ring is on a level that very few fighters in the history of the sport can do.  Floyd is also very intelligent in how he manages his energy level.  He paces down a little bit in the middle rounds in order to be fresher in the later rounds.  It's something like horse racing:  Floyd is a stalker, he stays close to the lead then punches it down home stretch to finish strong.  Very few fighters have that kind of ability to manage their endurance, mostly because they have to react to what the other guy is doing to him in the ring.  Floyd can do it, and does do.  When he fights, he controls himself, he controls the pace of the fight, and to some degree, he controls what his opponent does in the ring.

  4. The Greatest

  5. hes very atheletic great speed and good pucnher, but in some way overated i think, hes great, but he wont fight anyone big, because alot of fighters would destroy him (cotto)    so sorry floyd ur overated

  6. He wants nothing to do with Mr Margarito....he would become 39-1 at the end of the day! The only way he would keep from being ko'd would be to run all over the place....like he has done plenty of times before.

  7. Ok floyd mayweather was the best fighter in the sport of boxing from 2001 till he just recently retired.  He was 39-0 with championships won in 5 different weight classes. His style is not fan pleasing, he is a boxer who focuses on defense and basically worries about getting hit more than hitting the other oponnent, translation most of his fights are boring.  but he has great speed, his hands are the fastest in boxing for the past 20 years.  He is also a very smart fighter, and a very good businessman who knows who to fight and not too fight.  He chose to fght an old but still VERY popular oscar de la hoa and got somewehre round 50 millions dollars and won a not that exciting decision wher mayweather was never hurt in the fight.

His next fight came against a british brawler ricky hatton who pressured mayweather but suprisingly mayweather hand speed knocked out hatton in the 10th rond and he also made maybe 30 milion on that fight.  IN all his fight he is the trash talker, he is the iwise guy, he makes the other opponent frustrated and has a big mouth.  Since the de la hoya fight he has been a celebrity and he was a ultra talented fighter but not an exciting one too be honest i didnt like him too much and most people bought both the de  la hoya and hatton fights to see him get ko'd but he is the main attraction in boxing, love him or hate him you cant deny it.
