Have you ever given your child a flu shot before he/she was a year old? If so, were there any side effects/complications??

  1. i never get my kids the flu shot for a couple reasons.  the vaccine is only made up for about 3 or 4 of the strains that they think will be going around that year based on what has been going around all over the world. so if you get one of those 4 strains you might be ok, if you get another strain you'll still get sick.  i don't know the exact number but i think there's close to about 100 different flu strains. another reasons is because you could get sick from the shot itself and it's considered a "side effect".

  2. Why would you pump that c**p into a tiny child? They don't prevent the flu anyway.

I'm sure drug companies would be thrilled if everyone got healthy and they went out of business.

  3. yes my son had it and i wouldnt recommend it he got sick and had an awful dose of flu for weeks after it. so no i wouldnt if i were you babies are ble to cope with these bugs better than ourselves there immune systems make it easier for them to fight off. so personnaly i just see it as a fad rather than something that is necessary my 2nd son hasnt had it and he's fine

  4. They only recommend it if the child is over 6 months and there are older children in the house.  But they don't always prevent the flu.  (sometimes they do).  And every child is different, some could have side effects, other children that I know that have had it have not had a single side effect.

  5. i'm not vaccinating my baby until he/she is 24 months old. especially with the flu virus which is the one that still has mercury in it, it's not worth the risk to me but lots of people give their babies flu shots and most of them have no serious side effects.
