Question:

Fluctuating Power Issues on my 42in. Olevia

This problem started shortly after my warrenty ran out. I have roughly two hours of viewing time before the tv shuts itself off. Once you turn it back on (upon which it sometimes emits a high pitched electrical screech), the intervals in which it functions get exponentially shorter until it is unwatchable. Letting it rest seems to temporarily fix the issue. I'm assuming it is not the inverter board because there is no "ghost" image on the screen when it does shut off. It may be unrelated, but the sound on the televison has failed completely (not the speakers, the signal coming from the red and black wires in the back) as well. I'm not really concerned about this because i run my sound through an amp anyways and for all I know it might have failed withing the first few days. I'm not sure if this is unrelated but I've inclued it to be thorough. The power issue is my main concern.
