Fluctuating beer temperature......?

Question

I have some beer that is cold right now but I'm going to be transporting it a long distance so obviously it is going to warm up. When I get to where I'm going I'm gonna pop it back in the fridge. All of this without opening the bottle. Will this fluctuation in temperature affect the taste by much?

not a beer expert, but guessing no.  beers tough, so long as its unopen, it should be okay.  or buy some cheap styrofoam coolers and put it on ice during the trick.

You have to question whether it's worth transporting it!

Beer doesn't travel well.  It's best local, asuming that we're talking about good quality craft/micro brewed beers.  If it's the best that craft beer has to offer - then yes - get a polystyrene shipper, or a big cool box and pop them in that - and away you go.  I regularly haul beer around the world in a shipper.

But, if it's just swill then, give them away - or drink them!  and, buy great local beers from where you arrive.  

Beer, tbh, is best local.

since most beer is pasteurized after being bottled it has no more active yeast that could do anything when they reach a certain temperature.  So nothing will happen if it warms back up...

Unfortunately it will. It is a common mistake that people think beer is like coke or other canned products. You always check freshness and temperature of for example milk or meat, but when You buy beer You don`t pay attention.

Beer has to be in cold temperature [not to cold], not on Sunshine's view, and it shouldn't change degrees to often.
