I dont really have a question. I'm just pissed off i was robbed of my money:

Playing A Texas Hold'em tournament with some new people and my poker crew

it becomes heads up, Myself (457 chips) and a guy who is friends with my cousin (543)....

the most pivitol hand of the game and I get robbed.

get this the guy has Q - 8 of diamonds

I have K - 9 of diamonds....

Im small blind and just smooth call (I should have raised)

big blind checks and the flop comes

Q of spades..4 of diamonds..7 of diamonds..

I bet my flush draw and big blind raises three times what I bet I think for a bit and call. The turn....

Ace of diamonds...

The river:

2 of clubs

I bet the pot, he goes all in I call flip over my king flush, flips over his queen flush....

he says we split the pot because we both have Ace high flushes, I told him I win because my king out kicked his queen, but he was whining like a ***** casue I destroyed him.....

we ended up splitting it and me losing

  1. Yeah you need to smack this guy and send him to a beginners rules of poker site ;)  Then collect the money from him you split.

You both have an Ace high flush but when two flushes have the same high card then it's the next card which decides it, and then the nex if it's still a tie, and then the next and then finally the next.  The only way to have a tie with a flush in Holdem is if the flush is on the board and no one has a card to improve it.

  2. It's only a spit pot if you both have a lower flushes than the board.

  3. you are a idiot ..... you had the win hand knew you had the win hand and let him whine you out of it. you deserve to lose.

  4. It was your pot to do with as you please, and it was awfully generous of you to share your winnings with that other character.

You might get a kick out of this...

A while ago I was playing Hold 'em (not for cash, but for tokens on pogo.com, fortunately). I had a pair of  pocket 10s: hearts & diamonds, and bet conservatively. The flop included both of the other 10s  plus the Ace of Clubs, so I bet fairly big on my 4 10s, but not so much that everyone else would just fold). The Turn card was the 6 of Hearts, and again I bet as much as I could without alarming everyone else. And finally, the River card was the Jack of Clubs, which resulted in a round of max bets & raises.

Some jerk was holding the King & Queen of Clubs. So my 4-of-a-kind lost to his d**n royal flush. Ugh!

  5. Dude that sucks big time! that guy obviously doesn't know how 2 play poker. what a dumb@$$!!!

  6. You won that hand

  7. My advise..  Only play poker with people who know the rules..

  8. you play the next highest card and since you had the K of d you should of won! the only time a flush ties if it is all on the board such as all K Q J 9 6 and no cards in your hole cards in your hands beats the 6

  9. Let him whine like a ***** who the h**l was running this poker game that they decided to split the pot...luckily I have never in my life played with someone like that (although I have heard they are out there LOL)...honestly you should have stopped the clock and you could have easily shown that a$$hole online why has hand lost...wow I am really sorry for you that you are playing with people on that level...

  10. There is no such hand as a "Ace high flush", the winning hand is decided by whoever has the highest total. Your king beats his queen.

You win the hand by having the higher flush (A,K,9,7,4)
