Flyback driver current?

Question

Hi all, I'm planning to build a very simple, single transistor, flyback driver. One can see the schematic here: http://www.powerlabs.org/flybackdriver.htm

I just need it to output low power and voltage not exceeding a couple kV. From the way the website describes a flyback it seems that the circuit can output very HIGH current and voltage. Thus can anyone guide me how I can reduce and estimate the current by changing the values of the components (i.e. resistors)? And how about the output voltage?

As the web page says, reducing the supply to 5 volts, is enough to operate the flyback at reduced power.

if you increase the resistances of the resistors the voltage should stay the same and your current will drop
