Flyers Fans.....who do you love????!!!???

Seriously. The last time I heard a Flyer fan say, “Man, I love that guy…I am so glad he plays for Philly”…was when Keith Primeau was around. Even before Gagne was hurt, I was starting to hear Philly fans say that EVEN he was slipping (crazy talk). Nowadays, all I ever hear is, “Richards is a crappy captain and weak in traffic. Briere screwed us and is a pansy. Lupul is mediocre.”……and so on. I can see maybe not liking a few players on your team, but I just never hear anything positive. I mean, cripes, the jury is still out on Stevens? You guys should be kissing his beanbag for how well he has worked in the Flyers system? Is your town getting you down? What am I missing? What will it take for you guys to love your own players? What’s the deal?

I have heard Flyer fans at different points on this board say that they love, Hextall, Lindros, Kimmo, Clarke and others. They do complain about certain things , but hey we all do. That is what being a fan is all about.

Once again I think we are comparing Real Flyers Hockey Fans, to Philadelphians that go to games and put there two cents in. The same guy who boo's his players is the same chuckle-butt who boo's the knocked out Bruin as he gets back on his feet. And cheers his player as he get suspended.

We all have our knucklehead Fans, for some reason I think Philly has a few more. And that is in no way meant to be derogatory towards the "true" fans for Philly.

Homes-I LOVE Richards, Briere everyone thought was overpaid in the beginning and it took a Lightning player(Vinny) to straighten him out and I thought Biron sured up the goalie position for many years to come.I even like Stevens as a coach but you know this city H we are the most NEGATIVE city in the country.

We haven't won a Cup since 75 and a Championship since 83 so its VERY hard to stay positive.I try to be positive and last year with Lupul and Richards scoring those huge goals we hope theirs a Cup in the future.........Doubt it.LOL

**TOMJC-That incident happened back in the 60s!!!I love when people bring up those types of stories.Hey they threw snowballs at Santa during the time of JFK so they have to be bad people.Why don't you at least talk aboot the Broad Street bullies at least that was in the 70s AND at least that was hockey,Santa thing was football.You should try and fast forward a few decades and join us here in 2008.The technology is much better.
