2. Who is the most likely unrestricted free agent to be back, Jaroslav Modry, Jason Smith, Jim Dowd, or Prospal?

3. Flip side, who is least likely?

4. If Smith dosen't return, who becomes captain (and no the answer is not Mike Richards)?

5. Homer always has some tricks up his sleve, who will be a key addition to the team next year, if any?

now for some others,

6. Marian Hossa is the highest paid UFA to hit the market July 1st, who does he sign with? and for aprox how much and how long?

7. Where does Brian Campbell sign?

Just for fun,

8. Who would you like to see your team pick up this offseason, weather it be a trade, drafting, or via free agency? Try to be reasonable, and if trading who will be dealt from your team.

  1. 1.  The only way the Flyers will offer Prospal a contract is if the news on Simon Gagne is that he will be out for another season/forced to retire.  If the do offer him a contract, he will probably accept it.

    2.  Most likely - Modry.  Dowd will probably hang it up, Prospal is answered above, and Smith is the next answer.

3 - Jason Smith - Rumor has he's looking to the Devils, and Homer is probably not going to resign him due to being in cap h**l.

4 - Assuming it is not Richie, then I would look to Timmonen or Hatcher.

5 - I do not see Homer make a major move.  He's too tight to the cap with a couple of RFA nightmares coming up (Carter, Umberger)

6 - Hossa will probably re-sign with Pittsburgh at a slight discount.  Let say 4 years for $35 million

7 - Brian Campbell will probably stay where he is - San Jose

8 - My wish list - Signing Huet from Washington to be #1, then trading Nitty & possibly Marty for a couple of defensemen.

    8 -

  2. 1. I bet he will.

    2. Prospal

    3. I say Dowd. It seems he has a contest with himself to see how many different teams he can play on. How many has he been with so far?

    4. Yes, I believe Mike Richards IS the obvious choice. Tell me one player on that team with more skill and leadership....

    5. I have no idea.

    6. Marian.....I don't know. I hope he resigns with Pittsburgh, but I don't see that happening....the salary cap here hates him.

    7. San Jose. I hear he really likes it there.

    8. Nobody right now. I like where the Penguins are. Any slight change might throw something off. I would like to see them trade Dany Sabourin for maybe a sucky winger (you're not going to get anyone good out of him), and maybe trade Daryl Sydor. I want them to resign Ruutu, Conklin, Malone, Hossa (but it won't happen).

  5. 1.  No, I don't think they will offer him a contract.  And after the way he played in this round I hope they don't

    2. Jim Dowd

    3.  Well I've heard rumors that Smith is going to N.J., so I'm gonna say him.

    4.  Why not Richards?  But whatever its your question, if Smith leaves and it can't be Richards then it has to be Timonen

    5.  I'll get back to you
