  1. no probs, i am not a scardie cat. Qantas is the safest airline in the world.

  2. Or...... Quantas?

  3. Paul L is right...it is the safest airline of all time...this is the first error they have ever had - i'd be totally happy flying with them!!

  4. from their past record mate i would feel pretty safe.

  5. i wouldnt be worried at all Qantas is great

lolly dont correct what is right it is Qantas

    not Quantas

  6. GOOD LUCK

  7. I think some of QANTAS' hens are coming home to roost.   This recent spate of incidents just highlights a far greater problem - rampant cost cutting.   If you ship the bulk of your aircraft maintenance to a developing country with far less acountability for Australian standards then what else can we expect?    If it was me flying QANTAS tomorrow, I would be making d**n sure I checked what make and model plane I was flying on.    If its more than 10 years old (or even 5) I would be seriously looking at changing my flight plans.

Just because we have a deregulated Australian sky doesn't mean we have to have third world safety to go along with it.   If CASA (the Aussie air safety board) had any teeth it would have grounded the entire QANTAS fleet until the problem was rectified.   It really does leave the public wondering about their future travel plans.   Perhaps this is the kick in the pants the Australian aviation industry needs.

Note: For those who don't know - QANTAS is an acronym.  There is no U in the name.   QANTAS originally stood for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services.   It is quite fitting that our iconic national airline started off nearly a century ago in the outback doing kangaroo hop milk runs.

  8. Air flight is still the safest form of travel on this planet.  More people are killed every year in car accidents.

BTW... I flew with them on Saturday (and back Sunday); and am due to fly again next Tuesday.  These "failures" only reaffirm my faith in the airline -- because each incident was handled professionally and no one was injured (scared witless maybe... but they landed!).

  9. Someone i know was trying to scare me before i got on a plane home from a gig... and he flew out to Australia yesterday... and i think his plane may have landed early XD I'd be crapping myself!
