  1. Over the age of 5.

  2. Different airlines have different rules for unaccompanied minors.

  3. Rules vary from one airline to another, but the general guidelines are that children ages 5 - 12 who travel without a parent or guardian are "unaccompanied minors."

They may or may not be allowed to make connections, but if they do you will probably be charged and additional fee.

Most airlines require a child to be at least five years old to fly unaccompanied.

Many airlines require a child to be at least eight in order to made a connecting flight.

If your child is over twelve, you can request an airline escort, but generally it will not be required.

  4. They can fly on most airlines.. ( i assume they must be able to walk alone.. ) But if they are under age 14 you must pay extra for an attendant to "watch over" them on the flight.. After they are 14 they can fly as an adult... alone .. at least on Southwest .. I don't know about the others.. The charge is about 75$  extra each way for a child under age 14.. Hope this helps.. but you should call what ever airline you plan to use and ask their policy as it may vary .. Good Luck : )

  5. There are different rules for unnaccompanied minors...usually the ages of unnaccompanied minors go from 5-16 years old.
