I will be traveling to London early next year and I would like to add a few days in Dublin. What is the approximate cost to fly from London to Dublin and how long would it take me to get there? Any advice for travel in the greater London or Dublin areas? Any advice is appreciated!

  1. Hello, the answer above me was really useful and helpful! But I wanted to give you one bit of advice, WATCH YOUR PURSE.. I flew in from London with my family and what happened was we were getting off the tram ride, someone reached in my moms purse and stole her wallet, it was so horrible. They ran away, we weren't able to catch them.. we talked to the security guard, they said go to the police station and file an report. after we canceled our cards(thank goodness we had photocopies of our cards front and back, and we had the bank numbers.. so be sure u do that okay!) We were able to cancel our cards right away, so the best they actually got away with was couple of american dollars and some photos not much! whew.. So we were fortunate, the thief was never caught and we never got my moms wallet back. So we had the bank ship us a new card, so it was really frustrating.. Be sure you have photocopies of your wallet, and keep your zipped purse with you at all times. There are a lot of thieves, and stalkers(we were stalked the next day) Our time in dublin was really frustrating, and scary but if you keep watch of ur purse and ur surroundings, you will be fine! Hope you have an great time! Ciao!!

  2. I just got back from London and I'm pretty sure I saw ads for free flights to Ireland from London. The flight would be an hour or so. The best way to get around in London is by the tube. You can by a 1-5 day pass. For pretty cheap

  3. have a look at easyjet.com, they fly to Dublin. Prices vary widely depending on when you want to go, but it's possible to get there and back for £50 or so if you're flexible about dates. Flight takes about an hour, if that. Don't forget your passport and also the currency in Dublin is the Euro, not the pound.

  4. The flight from London to Dublin should be approximately 1 hour 15 minutes - how much you pay for your flight depends on how far in advance you book & whether or not you can take advantage of any special offers.
