Flying from canada to NY in Dec 08. Is it easier to fly into Newark or JFK airport? I plan to stay in the city

I'm assuming that whichever one you fly into, you are also going to fly out of on your return to Canada.  That being said, I'd go with JFK.  I avoid Newark at all costs, as I find that airport is almost always a mess, with a lot of delays.

Neither is too bad.  From  JFK you can take a cab or subway into the city fairly easily depending on amount of luggage.  From Newark the cab is more expensive, but there is a New Jersey Transit connection that takes you right into Penn Station.  

Go with whatever one offers a better fare and/or flight schedule.

I agree with the asnwer of jslinder....you have options to get into the city, so go with the time/flight cost that is best for you.  Have fun!!
