Flying in Canada...what ID does my child need?

Does my two year old daughter need two peices of ID, because all I have is her health card.....will they let us by with that? We are only flying within Canada...

  1. a passport is the only acceptable form of ID when flying between 2 countries. This is for everyone.

    EDIT: whoops! missed the "within canada' part. I thought you were flying TO canada.  Okay as long as YOU have photo ID and she has some form of ID (health card should be fine, or a birth certificate) then you are fine.  If you are the only parent going with her you also need to show either a death certificate from her other parent OR a NOTORIZED letter from them saying it is okay for the child to travel.


  2. She will need the ID to get through the gates, but the health card should be enough.
