Flying insect that looks like a bee?

Okay, there was an insect flying around my room, and i just sprayed it with K300 bug spray.

So i wanna know what it was.

It looked like a bumblebee, but isn't that hairy.

It had red legs and a red antenna.

Any idea what it is?

This insect, that I saw was the color of a yellow and black bee.  It had bee-like wings with a black edge (which took up half its body length), bird-like tail feathers, butterfly head and legs, and was fuzzy all over.  The insect was about 3 inches long.  I was able to get very close to it, while it sucked nectar like a butterfly.  

What could this cute little insect be?
