  1. Read

  2. Yeah, that's me too. Music. Listen to music. Read a book. Try to sleep. Ask doctor for a mild sedative to calm your nerves.

  3. Make sure you keep all your documents and personal information in some sort of package that you can have close at all times. Always listen to the announcements for flights and always ask questions if you aren't sure. I was in a similar situation when I was 16. I flew to Cali and there was a layover in Arizona. But it was fine. I played my PSP and sat in the area where my flight was suppose to arrive until it came.

  4. Bring a laptop or dvd player or something like that, depending on where your layover is and how long there's almost always stores and things to do at airports, just bring alot of magazines and like a summer reading book or something. And it's more likely that you would be in an accident in the car ride to the airport than in an airplane accident, it almost never happens! There's nothing to be worried about!

  5. bring an ipod/mp3

and bring lots of magizines i always fly and im a teen

    and that helps alot

  6. ummm bring like a ipod or a handheld game like the DS and bring lots of snack. also no need to be worried cuz like 1 out of 10 planes crash a year maybe not even but i like the take off cuz its like a roller coaster.lol

  7. Two things:

    1. Bring entertainment.  A book, magazines, IPod, laptop, snacks, Gameboy, whatever.

    2.  See if there's anyone you can talk to, like the person next to you, to help pass the time and put you at ease.

  8. ummmmmmmm...

i had to do the same thing when i was 14,nothing to be scared of but make sure you order the right food,i hate fish but i was sooooo scared i asked for the shortest dish :)

  9. ooo by urself? Must be hard! Well, as your going on the plane, and on the plane, think that it will be fun (flights are fun!) and you;ll start to think it! Also, what relaxs you? Like, if you have and iPod definitley bring it and listen to it. They give you free headphones and theres a radio on the plane. Also, sleeping helps a lot. YOu can get a prescriiption for medcine that helps you relax on a plane! Also, maybe try to make a friend on the plane, maybe theres a girl close to your age flying also-even if there with family/friends ask them if you could sit by them, walk around with them etc. And remember- the plane won't fall! Just keep thinking it will be fun-Also, do things to make it fun, like taking lots of pictures! Good Luck! -ALeah : )

  10. I used to be the same way and I'm sure I was so annoying to whoever sat next to me because until I could calm down I talked their ear off!  I'm not a real religious person, but I finally just started telling myself, if it's my time it's my time and let go of the fear.  You'll be alright, driving is waaaayyyy more dangerous than flying.  Take your favorite magazines or book along with you and maybe a puzzle type magazine.  If you have a portable dvd player take that and some movies along with you.  On the layover just get to your next gate and stay there - don't wander around the airport!!!!  Have fun and be safe!  ÃƒÂƒÃ‚Âœ

  11. Bring your MP3 or something to give you something else to listen to besides the plane engines.  Remember this. . .thousands of planes take off and land safely every single day and yours most assuredly will be one, too!  Just don't think about it. . .bring some music or a book. . .and you'll be on the ground in no time.  I used to have to do Indianapolis to L.A. on business and it was 4.5 hours of total boredom unless I brought something to listen to or to do.  Safe travels!!

  12. ill be glad to go wit u jus pay my ticket im 16

  13. Um... Just know, the planes are the safest way to fly. Bring enough money for a comfort food during the layover. Um, I'm 14 almost 15 and travel long flights every summer. Oh yea, bring a f***y pack... they are awesome to hold passport, money, tickets. They have separate compartments (the good ones do). And remember, there is nothing to be afraid of. Also, bring your favorite candy on the plane. It helps nerves!!! Also, think, if you had to drive that whole way... you like 70% more likely to get in an accident in a car!!! and, it is all probabilities... fly 1,000,000 flights and only then would you have a 50% chance of crashing..... and that research was done jan, 2000 planes are much safer as technology has taken off!!! (exuse the punn)

  14. Do you have any idea how many people e-mail me each day saying there afraid of flying, and afraid of heights? well I tell them I'm actually afraid of heights myself and look I'm a Captain. Traveling is not scary while being alone. Your 15 years old and I'm sure you don't need a parent there to buckle you in. First things first your going to go to the ticket counter. Just tell them your last name. They will print you a ticket, And point you in the direction to the security checkpoint area. After you get in line the agents working in the security area will tell you what to do. Your going to have to take out your laptop and put it through the X-Ray scanner. Everything else must go through the scanner. Once you pass through security just ask a security (TSA) agent where your gate is. That is where the plane will pull up. And don't be afraid of flying the chances of you being in a crash is 1 in 15,000,000. As for the lay over if your bringing a laptop just about all airports have wireless Internet access. Other than that just fill your iPod and enjoy the flight. Any questions you have you may e-mail me with at captainjon0527@gmail.com

  15. When I was 15, I traveled alone, it's really fun though! You don't have parents to tell you what to do, you can listen to music and just chill! Don't be scared, trust me it's a great experience and it's pretty fun! I'm 16 now, I love being on the plane.

  16. read a book, listen to music, (ipod), magazine...something to take ur mind off of it...a gameboy
