  1. Where you stop is based on availability at the time you book your ticket. and it is a long *** flight, i flew from Sacramento to london last year and it took 13 hours. Wherever you stop, you most likely wont have more than a 5 hour lay over (and that would be the probably be the max) so i dont think it would be a smart idea to leave the airport to explore in a small window of time. our airports are busy so the lines are long, and when you travel internationally you need to go through more procedures that can delay you. when you get to LA, there is a lot you can do, theres the beach, disneyland, hollywood, beverly hills, the city has a lot to offer also some of the best restaraunts in the country are in la. if this will be your first time in the states, come prepared to see a whole new world that will blow your mind away, have fun and be safe

  2. There are no direct flights from Manchester to LA.  You will have to either take the train to Heathrow, or fly from Manchester and have a halt somewhere like New York.

Check the websites of the various airlines.  Start with delta.com

  3. I have flown many times from California to England using both in-direct and direct flights from SF and LA to Gatwick and Heathrow. I don't believe that you can get direct flights from any other UK airports so you'd have a short flight to transfer at either airport if you chose not to drive or take a train, etc. Non-direct flights can go through NY/NJ, Minn, Houston, Chicago, just to name a few. As the previous poster mentioned, check flight options to pick the best locations and prices for you. Having said that, flights are about 12-14 hours depending on which directions you are traveling so plan a full day travel each direction. As long as you have at least a week available to spend there, I would say that the travel time is well worth it. Good luck!

  4. check out British Airlines website and it will tell you or just call them.

  5. Do a search for flights and details will come up
