  1. You do not need a booster seat for the plane.  If you bring a stroller most airlines will let you bring it all the way to the plane and then put in the luggage hold for you, returning it when you arrive at your destination.

If you are going to Disney you will be able to get all sorts of child-related equipment like strollers etc while you're there, so perhaps no need to worry about bringing the bulky stuff.  If you're renting a car most rental companies will provide booster seats too.

On the plane don't forget to ask the flight attendants for the child-activity sets they usually provide for free.

  2. No, you dont need a booster seat they just sit in a normal seat

  3. A booster seat is actually not FAA approved for use on the aircraft. It doesn't provide any restraint like a car seat does. You can check it it at the ticket counter with your luggage, bring it through security and gate-check it like a stroller, or if it's small enough, bring in onboard and put it in the overhead. Checking it at the counter would probably be best if you don't want to be lugging it all around the airport.

  4. You are not required to use a car seat on an aircraft.  As mentioned, in the US if you are renting a car you would need one.  Most car rental agencies will charge you for its use.  Just a note when flying, if using a car seat it must be located in the seat closest to the window (if on a single aisle plane).  It can be located in a center seat as long as the window seat is unoccupied.  It can never be located on an aisle. If you and your family will occupy all three seats in a row the child seat must be at the window and not between you.  This is a FAA regulation and actually makes sense.  A car seat protrudes slightly and could impede the egress of a passenger seated on the outboard side of it.  If you do plan to bring the car seat and you have seat assignments that don't include a window seat you should contact the airline for seat reassignment.  If you end up not bringing it the the point is moot.  Have a zip-a-di-do-da time at Disney!
