I'm flying from Canada to US soon, and I have ALOT of body jewellry that is too new to come out, including my nipples that i'd really rather not take out sooner than neccessary.. Any way to get around this at security? i Dont really wanna have to whip out my b***s to show the security officer!! Is stuff like that usually caught? What about bra underwire?

  1. You can always state in advance that you prefer to be hand screened, or that you can do that walk-in body scan if your airport offers it.

People have all kinds of piercings these days, so I am sure the TSA is very knowledgeable on how to deal with them.

Go to the TSA website, or call them if you have questions.

  2. eh.. i think i have to disagree, i dont think they will catch it, its stainless surgical steel.. my plugs NEVER go off. but i dont have my junk pierced so not sure about that.

i think it depends on what you have. it might be best to get something plastic or natural - just not steel - if you really fear a problem.. but i dont think you'll have any.

also if there was a problem, a women would check it out, NOT a guy.. believe that is regulation with anything.

bras dont go off.. once again i think it is a different metal and/or to low of a value.. otherwise they would just have a separate security line for women! LOL

    i could always search you..

    ;oP

  3. Yes they catch this stuff frequently!  Try calling the airport and ask for what to expect from security in your situation and ask for pointers too.

If you don't want to being showing the security staff then you might want to take them out.

  4. Yeah, they will probably catch it.  They will have a female agent there to search you and a private room or booth.
