  1. I flew a 9 hour flying day with my little man when he was 10 weeks old.

I am not familiar with the airline you are flying, however all airline policies are quite similar.

I only had one seat for me and the baby and it was fine, he slept most of the time, except to eat.

They even had a change table that pulled down in that bathroom. (The all day sleeping threw his schedule off a bit the first day we were at our destination, but other than that he was fine)

My travel system was very easy to travel with. You can take the car seat and stroller right up to the gate and right before you get on the plane they take it from you and store it for you, and have it ready for you at the gate when you get off the plane too.

The hardest thing for me was carry on. You are allowed one carry on item plus a personal item, so I used his diaper bag as the personal item, but I found that it was really hard to maneuver around with 2 bags and the baby, especially once on the plane, after they took the stroller from me, so on the way home I paid extra and checked the other bag and just had his diaper bag with me.

I was told to be concerned about the ear popping during take off and landing, but I found that wasnt an issue. He was usually asleep before takeoff anyway. But I did notice that with myself my ears didnt just pop during takeoff, they usually popped midflight, so I made sure he slept with his pacifier, and the few takeoffs that he was awake I nursed him just incase. (I was told that the sucking will help with the ear popping, but it was never an issue)

Sorry for the long novel, hope that helps a bit.

If you have any other questions feel free to email me :)

  2. IM NOT A MOM

BUT THE FIRST TIME I WENT ON A PLANE WHEN IT LANDED MY EAR POPPED I HAD TO TAKE PAIN KILLER IM NOT SURE IF YOU CAN GIVE BABIES PAIN KILLERS

  3. royal jordanian offers bassinettes but theyre limited so reserve it or get their first.  as theyre first come first serve.

ive been to chicago airport with my son when he was 2 weeks old at the time and we took his carseat and stroller and had no problems, except it took alittle longer at the security checkpoints but strollers are a definite must for air travel.  they'll store the stroller at the front of the plane.

    advice:

*get up and walk with your baby in the aisles as much as possible unless your babys sleeping.  it keeps them calm and relaxes them.  especially if you have him on your chest so he can hear your heart beat

*definetly pack alot of diapers and especially wipes.  better to have more than you need then not to have enough

*bring a hat and a warm blanket, as airplanes tend to get cold

    *bring a soother (sucky, pacifier)

*change babies diaper right before boarding the plane

*also feed after take off (after seat belt signs are off), it kinda makes them tired/drousy (not in a bad way or anything)

*feeding after take-off and just before landing helps with the pressure in the ears

*with feeding do it more frequent when normal cause babies get dehydrated faster when flying

*ask the flight attendant to warm the bottle for you (if bottlefeeding) cause they will, every flight every airline

    hope this helped some

ive traveled alot with my son, he's two and a half months.  especially internationaly

  4. taking the stroller around the airport will be fine just allow time to wait for elevators. you will have to leave it at the plane entrance and may be asked to fold it up(which can get tricky if your trying to hold a baby in 1 arm and fold up a stroller with the other) i have never flown rj but the planes i have there is no bassinet. you might want to feed the baby on take off and landing to help with the altitude change
