Ok well i know that your allowed to fly within the country without your passport and only need Your ID or drivers license. Well I'm only 14 so i cant drive (obviously) and i don't have an ID. I'm in a class called AVID in High school( Advanced Via Independent Determination ) and they regularly go to colleges and universities around the country. So if i travel with them(by plane) do i need my passport or would a school ID suffice? What if im not traveling with a class would i need my passport to travel within the country or is a school ID enough?

  1. you don't need a passport to fly domestically but you need an approved I.D and a school I.D is good enough ,however your age may be a problem without parental or a guardian consent

  2. school id is enough.

thats what i used when i flew.

  3. Minors under 18 are not required to have ID to fly domestically.

However, keep your school ID with you  just in case.
