Fm Transmitter vs Cassette Adapter?

Which one do you think has better sound quality. Which one do you think I should buy for my ipod.

  1. The cassette adapter will definitely sound better, but my question to you is this....

    You still have a fricken cassette player in your car?

    The fm transmitters sound like c**p compared to EVERY other option. I would only go that route if you had no other choice.


  2. Cassette is much better, FM transmitters generally have horrible quality of sound. The extra wire sucks, but thats life I guess. You might want to look into getting either a head unit with an AUX input or direct hardwire for your ipod.

  3. Between the two, the cassette adapter.

    The FM transmitter is the worst.  Signal noise all over the place.  The cassette adapter has its limitations too, but the signal is quite a bit better then the FM transmitter, for sure.

  4. the cassette ones are far far better the fm ones cut in and out depending on the signal
