Fol Hollow geared up for another success at Hamilton
Cherishing the sweet memories of his last victory at Hamilton, the David Nicholls trained bay gelding, Fol Hollow, will unleash another winning performance over there when he runs in the Scottish Racing Claiming Stakes on Thursday, August 30. The class 6 race over 5 furlongs and 4 yards will go down on the heavy course.
To bag the cash prize worth £2,045, the seven-year-old veteran horse will have to beat four strong competitors.
Towards the end of the last year, Fol Hollow experienced a severe lean patch that forced him to take a break of almost six months. During that period, he underwent a lot of training to regain his lost momentum.
The son of Monashee Mountain out of Constance Do staged a stunning comeback on May 14, 2012, winning the Stan James Is Supporting Barney's Challenge Selling Stakes at Redcar. That was indeed a great performance.
The experienced gelding went on to register a sterling success at Hamilton by finishing first in the Kilbryde Hospice Selling Stakes. He was the 11-8 favourite for that race.
The memories of this victory will buzz into his mind while running under the same jockey, Adrian Nicholls, in the coming contest.
In his last start on August 9, the Dan O'Brien bred horse finished as the runner-up. That was the Follow Us On Twitter @Southwell_Races Selling Stakes, held at Southwell.
