  1. roll deffo

  2. Get a vacuum bag, they create so much more space and they are so cheap these day. You should be able to get much more in that way. Have fun away :)

  3. I fold a couple of things to cover the bottom of the suitcase and roll everything else. You can fit a lot more in by rolling! I would also take a 2nd foldable bag too. Then on the way back you can pack souvenirs in the case and all your clothes in the foldable bag. Thats what I always do. You can probably buy something suitable at the airport. Have a great trip!

  4. shove!

    enjoy your trip.

  5. Jeans and thick stuf folded a couplle of times and laid on the bottom...then everything rolled....you get more in and the creases are minimized.....put underwear in your shoes.....

  6. I use packing cubes quite a bit, I can squeeze more into each one and when the airport inspectors search they can put them back. I also pack things inside my shoes (put a plastic bag inside shoes and then put socks or soft items inside) and use the outer pockets for less expensive flat items. I have gotten 70 pounds in a 25 inch suitcase this way, although you have to be careful not to rip the zippers. The packing cubes I use aren't purchased, I just reuse the ones that comforters and other linens come in.

  7. Never thought about it, but rolling some items seem a sensible idea.

Vacuum packing stuff also is but for the fact that repacking could be a problem at the other side (unless you actually talk friendly to the hotel staff with the hoover).

  8. A combo of the two.

What works to keep creasing to a minimum is to put long items, say trousers or dresses flat in the bottom on the case with the legs or bottom of the dress hanging out.  Put other items on top, fold or roll, and then fold the rest of the dress/trousers over the top so you have a big clothes 'sandwich'.  This way you don't get nasty crease lines across dresses and trouser legs.

Put small items like bras, socks and swimming costumes into small plastic bags, roll them up and tuck them in to shoes and put the shoes (sole side outwards) in the corners of your case - this gives extra protection against bashes.

Any other spaces in the case can be filled up with rolled up items or beauty products you know 100% certain won't leak.

If you are taking a hairdryer and straighteners, pack these as central to the case as you possible can so they are cushioned.

In the UK (although guessing you can get them anywhere) you can buy vacuum bags that you put your things in and then manually squeeze all the air out so you can crush a beach towel down to hardly anything.  These are great to pack for when you come back - stuff all your dirty laundry in there, crush it down and you have space in your case for goodies you are bringing back rather than spending 30 sweaty minutes sitting on the case, jumping on it, etc, to get it closed!

  9. go to your local poundshop and get a vacuum selaing bag. iron and pack your clothes lay them folded flat and close the bag. suck out the air witrh a hoover and stand back and be amazed

    a) how much stuff you can get in your suitcase now

    and

    b) that they wont need re-ironing when you unpack

  10. well try them both try rolling trousers and folding tops (unless they are very thick) xx
