  1. InterGlobe Enterprises and Rakesh Gangwal

  2. Unilever is like a parentage company, which pretty much owns and manages many many smaller companies and owns MANY brands. Brands from foods such as Klondike and Slim·Fast, to personal care products like Q-Tips and Axe are all owned by Unilever. The India branch of this company is called Hindustan Unilever Limited and is India's largest consumer products company.

However IndiGO is an a private domestic airline company in India. It serves 14 destinations, all within India. It's owned by a Unilever-like parent company called InterGlobe Enterprises. . However unlike Uniliever, which is consumer products, InterGlobe is mostly in the travel industry. It owns hotels like Ibis, and airlines such as IndiGO. It also manages huge air and cruise transport companies like United and Carnival, but does not own them. You could say that InterGlobe is the equivalent of Unilever, only different industries.

I do not know where people are getting Rakesh Gangwal, but IndiGO is a public company with Bruce Ashby as the CEO. InterGlobe is also public; Kapil Bhatia is the executive chairman and Rahul Bhatia is the managing director.

    Hope I helped! =]

  4. The IndiGO airline is owned by InterGlobe Enterprises.
