  2. i love chadstone, its quite a way out from the city but it has a huge range of shops.

also bridge road is great, as well as chapel street if your looking for something alternative.  bourke street mall is also pretty cool, as well as spencer street GPO which has pretty good direct factory outlets.

    have fun!

  3. The best places to shop in Melbourne are; Flinders Lane, Block Arcade, the GPO, Melbourne Central, Cathedral Arcade, Collins Street, Smith Street, Bridge road, Camberwell road, and there are others! For more, google melbourne's shopping secrets, or try Armadale/Fitzroy/Brunswick shopping. Hope that helps!

  4. Make sure you hit Bridge Road - Discount factory outlets, shoppers paradise.

The City has everything from designers, to myer and djs, to regualar stores. Be sure to visit DFO on Spencer St.

Chapel Street has alot of boutiques and designers.

Have fun and bring a second suitcase.

  5. If you're a bargain hunter who doesn't care for big brands (like me, a Melbourne native)...one of the best places is along Swanston Street, on the stretch between Flinders St and Latrobe Street.

You will find cheap clothing stores (tops for like $5), shoe stores, and my personal favourite: Arthur Daley's Clearance House - can't be beaten for cheap Aussie souveniers!

Most of all tho, have fun!

  6. Depends what you are after.

Queen Victoria Market and South Melbourne Market.

Department Stores David Jones and Myer

Four Floors of shops at Melbourne Central.

QV Building, Walk Arcade, Block Arcade, Royal Arcade, Australia on Collins

Designer Shops at GPO Building , Hosier Lane, Collins Street

Many small shops down the Lanes, Alice Euphemia in Cathedral Arcade for young Australian Fashion Designers.

DFO at Southern Cross Station - around 90 shops

For Retro try Retrostar and Route 66 in Cathedral Arcade Retrostar is on the first floor.

Factory outlets at Bridge Road Richmond and Collingwood

The Crown Casino has  shops, many designer.

    Toorak has expensive shops

Walk around the city and you will pass many other shops.

    Happy Shopping
