Question:

Follow-up to Scarlett's question about highly sensitive people and life philosophy

I just read Scarlett's question about the following:

"Did you ever have to change your "life's philosophy", the way you see life, just to be happier, to "survive". pl share thoughts, thanx & hugs

and all the responses."

Thank you for the question and the responses. But, now, I am puzzled. Until reading the answers, I never realized what a negative and hard impact the paranormal world could have on a person. Hearing that people had to change their life philosophy to stay happy or change their outlook all together to maintain a balanced life was eye opening. Can you explain your answers in more detail?

I know this is a sensitive subject to most. So, if you are not comfortable posting, I would love if you could please email me.

** And, I am posting in this section - because that is where she posted it initially ***

  1. I think that when you know what lies beneath the surface of things, it is a stress sometimes to operate in the physical world just as a physical being. When one is ignorant of something, they tend to also be safe from it.

I don't think that the importance of spiritual protection is stressed enough and that people go out and learn the hard way that it's not a game and that they can't just walk around tempting negative entities without consequence or protection.

When one takes thier blinders off, there is always a period of readjustment that has to take place.

But the spiritual realm is just as good as it is bad...and actually, I would like to think that it is more good than bad, but I am an eternal optomistic. ;)

BTW, I answered the other question just now.

  2. Hi! I actually found that question interesting too. Hmmm... how to explain my answer...

I'm an empath, meaning I feel other people's emotion, living or dead, I feel energy around me. I gew up in an abusive home, which means from around 6 years old on, I've always been hyper sensitive to my surroundings and the people in it. I'm also hyper sensitive to the energy in a room. Some examples:

Walking through an electronics store leaves my nerves jittery. When my kids have so much energy they're bouncing off the walls, as little kids often do, it leaves me shaking, like the coffee jitters only without coffee. When someone I'm close to is hurting, I'm hurting. I pick up other poeple's emotions and mirror them. So if someone's feeling really depressed, it can sink me. If someone's really happy, I'm happy. If my boys are bouncing off the walls... I'm bouncing off the walls. Walking through the grocery store can be overwhelming, because of all the lights, the energy of ALL of those people, plus their emotions... I can walk into a room and know beyond a shadow of a doubt if there's someone in there whose hurting. Or angry. Or even horny.

I can see and feel the intention behind people's words. I know when someone cares about me...and when it's exactly the opposite. I KNOW it, because I can feel what they're distinctly NOT saying. I can feel the evil in the eyes of those pedifiles on tv. I see in my mind what they've done to those children. I can't watch the news. Or that animal cops show on the animal planet channel.

but witchy mel is right...there's more good than bad in the world. Just that the bad is loud and gets your attention. I've met so many loving souls, living and otherwise it simply amazes me. When I'm feeling down, I can always count on a friend to cheer me up. If I'm having another nightmare, a spirit friend of mine takes my hands and his loving presence floods me. My spirits guides send me this love and peace that just cannot be described. It's like pure joy. Pure love. Just that being how I grew up, I was trained, in a sense, to look out for the bad. I'm relearning to view my world. So I see the shift as a good thing. I used to merely survive. now I'm learning to live.

Anyway, not sure if that's what you meant, but that was about the best I could think of.
