Following Too Closely citation Pittsburgh,PA.?

Question

It was traffic time at morning 9:00 AM heavy Temperature cold around 5-7 and i was driving in TUNNEL .I hit the front car but he suddenly STOP his car and i hit from back side bumper,I am going to COURT and say i am not guilty cause waive POINTS.WHAT I HAVE TO TELL IN COURT FRONT OF JUDGE...Please Advise me!!!!

I really don't know because he will have already determined that you were following to close or at an unsafe distance, try telling him the lighting was poor and ask for community service.

You are supposed to have control of your vehicle at all times. If you kept a safe following distance you would not have hit the car in front of you unless there was ice on the road. Even with ice, you should have been driving slower to compensate for the icy conditions (if there was ice). There isn't too much you can do to contest this. Did the other vehicle have brake lights working? That would be about the only way I know of to contest this. And, you have to prove that the lights weren't working. Good luck.
