Issue: Random student locker searches without permission

What do you think are the responsibilities as a teacher in the issue?

  1. Generally speaking, the student agrees to the search of the locker when signing an agreement to use the locker.  So, I would say that the teacher has the responsibility to search the locker if he or she thinks there is a reason to do so.

    The student has signed away his or her rights, so there are none in regards to a search of a locker.  In addition, because the student signs away his or her rights to the locker in regards to a search, I don't think there are any rights for the teacher to limit.
