  1. Since you are riding in the correct lane for your speed, it is up to the other driver to do the passing.  That said, many drivers forget this point and tailgate.  Very un-nerving to a motorcyclist.  At times I want to mount video cameras to capture this dangerous behavior.  When I have the videos in hand with a good picture of the license plate I would pay a visit to the police.  Perhaps the police would contact the offending driver and remind them of the rules of the road.

I simply do not understand such dangerous behavior.  If I was in charge there would be a lot less people driving due to licenses being suspended for dangerous driving.

  2. I can't believe these answers. No wonder some people dislike motorcyclists. Tossing rocks? Spraying the driver behind? Falsely flashing the brake lights? How about you let them by if you can, keep your speed and maintain your lane position. If you can allow them to pass, do so, same as you would do if a jerk tailgated your car. On a bike, you're in no position to throw your inferior weight around. How about being nice and maybe understand the other guy may just be having a bad day. You know, like when a biker feels like throwing a rock! Silly.

  3. No need for spark plugs or ball bearings!

After 30 years us old guys get Smoker's cough.

It don't take but a second to hack up a nice big sticky phlegm ball. I find tossing it over the left shoulder works best for getting the driver's attention.

  4. This is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. I ride with my husband and understand your frustration. Drivers need to realize they MUST BACKOFF and leave plenty of distance between themselves and the rider.....or it's possible an unexpected padlock or bag of rocks might get launched through their window. Not saying I've done it, but I've seen it happen.

  5. tap the brakes... if they are right up your backside that usually gives them the idea.

  6. Run down to the local junk yard, get a windsheild washer nozzle, fluid tank and pump...doesn't matter what car it comes off of, although the smaller the fluid tank the better, it will make it easier to mount...put it in a saddle bag if you want . Mount the nozzle somewhere on the back of the bike aiming backwards... mount the tank, run the hose to the nozzle...wire it up to a toggle switch...

Now "releive" yourself into the fluid tank... next time somebody is riding your tail too closely.. hit the toggle switch and p**s on them!!!

If that seems a bit too gross for you, its cool...fill the tank with water...add a few drops of yellow food coloring...when it starts hitting the windshield they won't know the difference!!!

"IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS!!??!!??"

RUDY: you know what, doesn't matter sometimes what you try to do..LISTEN to the question he is asking..he is IN THE SLOW LANE...which means there is another lane they could pass him in, they choose NOT TO.

Some people do it just to be disrespectful...they know there is an unwritten rule that you don't ride the tail of someone on a bike because if a tire blows..possum runs out in the road, dog, cat...if anything happens and that bike goes down, you will run over them. There riding on the bike's bumper is their way of showing "s***w em, they aren't getting any special treatment from me"

NOW: some people do it just to be *******.. rather it is jealousy or what ever, they don't want to pass, they just want to ride behind you and tailgate...I can speed up to 90..they will speed up to 90 and remain right on my tail. I have a kid that depends on me buddy...they should feel lucky if all they get is a rock to the hood, I could follow them around until they hit a red light and yank them out through their window and beat them with my helmet until they stop moving for taking a chance on taking me out of my son's life...just so they can be an ******.

Its the same type of people who are cruising around at 45 MPH...see you 250 feet up the road pull out going the same direction as them...and stomp the gas peddle just so they can run up on you and lay on the horn, the difference is, people like that who are doing it to people on two wheels...are risking that person's life...just because "they are having a bad day", oh yeah...well that day might get a little worse if they get dragged out their window and  stomped unconscious.

  7. tap the breaks or go really slow that allways works.
