  1. There are lots of places all over the world with the same place names.  Most are in the US but originated elsewhere.  This is due to when america was discovered a lot of the immigrants came from Europe etc and renamed it how they saw fit.  Thats why there is a New England, New Hampshire, New York, etc etc

  2. silly american georgia is named after the place in europe

  3. I assume this is a (lame) joke question, but the Kingdom of Georgia was founded in the 11th century, so they didn't copy the name.

  4. HAHA, well more than likely the country did not copy the US. we didnt come up with the name Georgia. They named themselves after Saint George. Nothing to do with the US.

  5. Try vodka next

  6. Mike your a funny troll.

  7. georgia in Europe was Georgia long before Columbus discovered America.

  8. They liked the song by Ray Charles.  Georgia on my mind.  So they adopted the name and we all know everyone wants to be American over there so they took the name for their country.  They are fighting now in hopes of American troops coming over and they can marry their daughters off to the GIs and then immigrate to the other Georgia and visit you and your family.  See how simple it all is.
