That for it to work you have to put methylatedd sprints in the fuel burner under the fondue pot i just don't like thought of it because of the quite strong smell it has. Would like to hear from people who have one and how safe it and how it works . If I do get one it would have to be online from peters of kensington as i dont leave near any department stores. The $98 or the 157.oo which one? http://www.petersofkensington.com.au/Product/ProductSearch.aspx?departmentSearch=-1&brandSearch=-1&search=fondue

Thank you.

  1. I would suggest making a fondue on the cooker in a regular saucepan on a very low heat and then eat it straight from the pan at the table with the option of keeping it warm over a tea light candle warmer. At least that way you will know if your investment will be worth it- you may not like fondues all that much. Most people that buy fondue sets (including me) end up with them left for years in the back of a cupboard.

Don't worry about the meths thing, once lit it doesn't smell.

  2. We have a fondue set. It doesn't smell too weird, depending on what you put in it. You can make a cheese fondue, oil fondue or even a chocolate fondue....

  3. oh ,i do not know it
