Fontainebleau history?

hi. does anyone know the history of the castel of fontainebleau located in paris? i can't find any real information on when it was built, etc, and ireally need this. thank you so much. if you need any additional information please ask for it. =)

In the 19th-20th centuries it became a school of musiuc where some pretty serious composers studied as well.

While there was a building on this site from as early as 12th century, the present Chateau was begun by  Francis I who became the King of France in 1515. He ordered construction of  the present building in 1522. The first phase of construction was completed in 1540.
