Question:

Food/Drinks that keep you awake?

I need to know what foods to eat and drinks to.. well drink to stay up all night. creative thoughts please. I know about coffee, energy drinks, and soda. I also cant go out to get exotic things, so It will have to be a pretty common household item. Thanks in advance.

  1. Either Mountain Dew or Coffee will keep you awake all night.

    pretty much anything with sugar or stuff you would eat with breakfast

Fruit is a good choice.  Oranges give you sugar for energy and the psychological association with waking.  Don't eat a lot, and especially avoid heavy foods that will make you sluggish.  Quality proteins like lean meats will give you energy without that sluggish feeling.  Tea has less caffeine than coffee but you can drink more of it since it's lighter and it will break up the monotony.  Plus drinking it iced will help you stay more alert than warm drinks.

  4. Well take a B vitamin supplement. This should be a pretty common household supplement. B vitamins are put into energy drinks and give you tons of energy and you won't crash. Also nuts give you lots of energy and contain good fats, omega-3. Try those.

  5. Lots of veggies and starchy carbs like pasta. Garlic bread is good to munch, has lots of flavor and really hits the spot at five in the morning after work or an all-night lan party/study session.

    Drink as much water as you do soda and coffee for hydration reasons though, otherwise you'll have an unpleasant day.
