Question:

Food Portion?

Just a light question for us to ponder.Restaurants charge the same to everybody. Do you think restaurants should serve bigger portion to big / fat people with the logic that they'll eat more and smaller portion to small / thin people because they eat less and they'll never finish the standard portion and the food will go to waste. Afterall a big eater will be happy to receive big portion and a small eater doesn't mind to receive smaller portion.

  1. Restaurants should try and serve you as much food as possible. They are in the business of making money. What do they care if the person does not eat all their food? They already paid for it.

  2. Don't we have enough obesity in this country without encouraging fat people to gorge themselves? Restaurant portions are alredy way too big and often contain multiple servings. Can't eat it all (and you really should not), take the rest home.

  3. Applebee's is already on that road.  The salads either come as a full order or half order.  I think it would be kind of obvious if a stick thin girl ordered the same thing as her huge football playing boyfriend but recieved a significantly smaller portion.  Restaurants should just offer different sizes of their entrees and price them based on that..
