What is the best way to store rice for long periods of time?

Cooked rice? In the freezer

Uncooked? In a plastic bin that has a snapping, airtight lid.

I know someone who buys huge bags of rice, and stores it in a clean plastic bin.  It's not airtight - but they eat rice a lot, so the supply doesn't last very long (and doesn't have a chance to go bad).

Cooked or raw. . . the best place to store it is in the refrigerator!

for long periods of time i would reccommend putting it in an airtight bag or container and freezing it...

if its dry, then i dont think you have to freeze it, just make sure its in an airtight container.
