  1. yes you can. just take it inside a transparent bag! last time i checked a sandwich would cost 5usd on in flight cafes. same with bottled water/sodas.

  2. It really depends, I know you are allowed to by a food for the plane once you passed sercurity on most airlines and on to the plane, but I don't know if you are allowed to take a drink.

  3. Yup, no problem with the sandwich

(but finish your drink before you get close to the end of the line...)

  4. yeah. if you are going to get a drink, finish it before you go through security because the drink might spill on the x-ray machine. i brought some food from home before and they still let me through...had to throw away my soda before going thru security though (security didnt allow me to bring it past them)

  5. The rules vary with the times, but mostly you can't bring it past security if you bought it before. You have to wait til you go through security and then buy your food & drink and THEN you will be allowed to carry it on the plane.  Don't know that they've loosened the rules much.

  6. I do it all the time.  My seatmates get vicarious pleasure from my tuna with onions (and nobody has ever given me hassle about taking the "liquid" chipotle dressing on the sandwich thru TSA!)
