Food bugeting?

How can i save money on a food budget less then 500 dollars a month ? for 5 people

Well in UK we have Asda Tesco simialr to Walmart, they actually have their own low value brands "asda price" "Tesco value", Look for what supermarket near your house do it and buy them instead they rangefrom cereal to bread to meat etc.

And have a talk with your family that you guys work as a team otherwise others gonna have demands...

Cut on meat, vegetables are cheap, frozen vegetables is cheaper than the fresh.

Actually you could also go to supermarket often as all supermarkets have a separate section that displays some items that are expiring the same day or next day are very very cheap. 25% of the marked price.

Dont eat so much. For me, my husband and 4 kids. Witch I am on a very strict diet so foods expensive, and my husband eats alot and my kids...eat like and normal kids. I spend about 400-500 so for a family with one less person this is totally possibly but why is your food bill so high? If you eat like elephants...then don't it will save you money and save your life. If you eat tri tip steak and lobster and are complaining about money then you should probably go with cassorles

find out what everyone's favorite item is and rotate that once a week. On the other two days, serve leftovers, and the next week, do the same thing. Everyone will be happy.

grocery i shop in bulk and when there are sales and lots of coupons

dinning out once a month make it a treat that way its a lot healthier and not so expensive.

buy generic everything; bread, pasta, juice, cereal, etc.

another options is lunch instead of dinner
