Food chain for the vampire bat?

ok like i hav to do this report on vampire bats and i need the food chain and web for a vampire bat. ive looked all over the internet and cant find jack. can you help please.

  1. I'm not sure what you mean.  Your question is a little vague, but here goes:

    Vampire bats live in caves in large numbers, usually in the tropics.  They feed off the blood of mammals and birds by making a tiny puncture in the skin, and after secreting a numbing saliva on the wound to eliminate any pain, they drink the blood that oozes out.  They will occasionally bite humans, but that is not their usual food target.

    The only reason there MAY be a problem with Rabies now and then, is because these animals live together in very large numbers and can therefore catch it from one another if just one bites an animal that already had it.

    The bat droppings on the floor of the cave provide food for many kinds of insects.

    Vampire Bats are preyed upon principally by snakes, hawks, falcons, and other bats.
