Food coloring????

i bought my daughter a chocolate maker for christmas, which came with food coloring to make it fun.... but my kids decided it would be funner to take the food coloring out, without my knowledge, and they played with it..and now their hands and tummies are blue!!!! water is not taking it off...im wondering if anyone knows of something i can use to take this off?? lol, thanks alot in advance...

  1. I've always used baking soda or anything else that's mildly abrasive -- guessing it just rubs the top layer of dead/dying skin off that likely soaks up the color best anyhow.  Do that under running water, and you can also be soaking the color out at the same time?

    It's not going to get everything out, but it'll at least get *some* of the color off.


  2. Time is the only thing that really works for this.  I have way too much experience in this...be glad it is just their hand and tummies!  haha  The only thing you can do is take picutes of them to show at their weddings!   Don't worry.  Food coloring is NOT toxic.

  3. I have gotten food coloring all over my hands many times when making paints and soaps with the kids. It always seems to happen right before I have a meeting. I will end up with bright blue fingers. It does get very bright and not look like it will wash off but after doing some dishes and taking a shower it comes off. I would recommend having them play in the bath tub for awhile so it can soak off.

  4. warm water and a lot of soap.  maybe a bubble bath
