  1. Soft, cool  (not too cold or too warm) foods and liquids work best.  Liquid soup, yogurt, pudding, jello are all usually safe. Also make sure you are getting plenty of liquids.  If this has been going on for awhile, you should see a doctor.  Feel better soon!

  2. See a doctor because; if it has been for "aaages" as you say; it may be signs of another condition like strep or worse, especially if your a smoker! Strep can cause heart problems too! So if it is for ages do not guess or self medicate.

  6. liquids like, soup dilute it with water, yogurt, ice cream, as well as popsicles etc.

  7. popcicles, ice cream, soup, non-carbonated drinks such as juice, yogurt, pudding, and maybe some steamed veggies.

  8. Grapefruit juice and baking soda.  8 oz. juice and 1/2 tsp. of baking soda, stir and add ice, it really feels good to your throat.  Cools is right off. Tastes good too.
