  1. maybe some ethentic food would be good.

  2. foodnetwork.com has good recipes

  3. It takes a bit of work, but I recommend:  Coconut-battered shrimp; and mini-barbecued shiskebabs (vegetarian version or regular); and fried chicken mini drumettes (drumsticks and/or wings).  Absolutely short on time?  Have all of the above catered in by a reputable and/or recommended source.  By the way, others won't admit this often, but most, even at formal events, absolutely adore "pigs in a blanket" (mini-cocktail franks wrapped in dough).  If buying the latter from your local supermarket:  Please remember this:  Hebrew National brand excellent for this, Cohen's also all right but not as good and sold in smaller packages.  Bon appetit!

  4. little sanwiches and salad as a starter.

main course some baked chicken or fish

dessert u can have pudding or pie

these are some general ideas, hope this helps^_^

  5. www.epicurious.com has some wonderful recipes along with some great menu ideas.  There are a couple of "rules" you may want to follow when planning a meal for many people with different taste and dietary needs/vegetarian.

For starters during the cocktail hour you could offer cheese, fruit, salami, olives, nuts, & cracker platter.  This will please those who are vegan, vegetarian, Atkins, etc.

Once your seated meal has begun I would offer a selection of either a simple mixed green salad with vinaigrette (Girard's Champagne vinaigrette is amazing!!) and/or some sort of bisque - crab, lobster, squash, tomato; depending upon your budget.  You would want to serve some sort of bread with this course as well.

For the main course you want to offer at least two options as well. Obviously a red meat choice as well as a white meat choice is important.  For a third option you could offer fish or even a vegetarian option.  I'll list a couple of menu options below but because you are going to be serving people with different taste you don't want to over season the food unfortunately.  Take it especially light on the salt and only use extra virgin olive oil or vegetable oil - no peanut oil (allergies).

-Braised lamb chops with broccolini and garlic mashed potatoes

-Pork Tenderloin with baked apples and garlic mashed potatoes

-Beef Tenderloin topped with Blue Cheese (optional) sautéed spinach and twice baked potato

-Chicken Cordon Blue with rosemary baby carrots and garlic mashed potatoes

-Poached Salmon with asparagus and hollandaise sauce with either garlic mashed potatoes or rice.

-Mushroom au Gratin with asparagus and rice with hollandaise.

I mentioned a lot of mashed potatoes - reason being is that they are easy and EVERYONE loves mashed potatoes.  I will source a mashed potato recipe below that is absolutely amazing!  I make them every time I host a dinner and they are always complemented.  This recipe can be made days in advance and reheated in the oven the day off.  The worst part of preparing potatoes is peeling them - other than that they are a snap. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Whipped-Pot...

For dessert I would offer 2-3 options.

    -Cheesecake

    -Crème Brulee

    -Fruit Sorbet

    -Individual Fruit Tarts

I hope I have helped a bit and I wish you luck and lots of fun!!
