Question:

Food in India?

Hi,

I am thinking of planning a trip to India and I was trying to figure out how much to plan on each day. We would be there 14 days or so. I know a lot of it is going to depend on where we are and where we eat but I just wanted to get an idea. Any suggestions or help would be wonderful and appreciated. Are there more areas that are more expensive like Dehli?

Thanks.

  1. well i hope u have a great time in India like i did. i am travelling to Delhi this year so i dont know. but i have traveled to mubai the food there are very nice the restaurants are very modern like the ones in the UK. also they cost like 500-700r  for a whole family that is like £5. they have all range of food European, Chinese,Arabic there to many. i enjoy there food because it is so nice and cheap. hope i had helped

  2. I like my countries food (India is a heaven for good food)

  3. if you are a budget traveler, you can easily do US$10 a day. the cities are a little more expensive, but still.

eat local indian food and it's very cheap, great meals for 2 or 3 bucks. if you play it safer and eat western food in the touristy places it can be more. or you can really go crazy and stay in 4 or 5 star hotels and eat in fancy restaurants. that's only possible in the cities though.

i would advise you to get out of the city as fast as you can, even in agra and jaipur, big cities in their own right, things are very inexpensive.

and the cities have ATM machines now, so bring one with an emergency supply of cash you can withdraw if you really need to.
