for me, palabok blends well with lasagna. i like them both.

instead of macaroni,i'll have buko salad. i don't like ginataan that much.

and of course, i love sago't gulaman and any other palamigs.

I spent some of my childhood in Malabon so I'll take Pancit Malabon (better than Palabok) anytime. For the rest...I can scratch it as long there's the Pancit with pichi-pichi.=D

Pancit Palabok. It's really unique and very tasty. It's also quite oriental with shrimps and pork rinds. Lasagna kinda copies the whole Italian aspect and makes it seem like spaghetti, and other Italian food, but then again that would just be the "simple and common" lasagna.

Macaroni salad. For me, Ginataan just doesn't go with palabok. Ginataan's texture is thick and almost like "super" creamy soup. It's good but it's more like a by-itself food. Macaroni would be good if you add pineapples and cheese.

Gulaman/Sago. OMG, Iced tea is SO plain. Gulaman/Sago has that exciting, vibrant sweetness.
