Lately my iron has been low and I want to cook some liver and rice for dinner...I have some liver that has been in the fridge for almost a year...and the package doesn't have any specific info of how long it can remain frozen and then eaten...it just says sell by April 2010...I hate to go out and buy some more when I can just use what I already have...should or shouldn't I go ahead and prepare the liver I already have?

  1. Open the package, thaw it quickly (perhaps in the microwave) and if it looks and smells good, go ahead.  You'll have no problem whatever.

  2. most meats can be kept frozen for at least a year and be good.

    :)

  3. Thaw it out.  If it looks good and smells good, cook it up!
