Foot control ''dead'

Question

I have a Janome 6000 and the foot control just does not work. I have tried a few places here in NZ and they tell me to throw the machine away. I have not long had it in for checking and everything was OK, machine is good. I thought for the price I paid it would last longer than this. PLEASE can you help me. Dorothy Ashby. [e-mail]
